Help us fundraise

If you feel you have a few pounds to put towards the work we do, it would make a real difference for us.

Our programme of activities are designed to prevent people with fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions from becoming isolated.

Next March we will have to move out of the SCILL building, where we have held our weekly meetings. We are looking for other venues and whether it is possible to open our own premises.

If you feel able to help us, please click on the link and make a donation.

Thank you.

Local MP becomes Fiobro Ambassador

Tom Brake, MP for Carshalton and Wallington, has become an Ambassador for Fibromyalgia Action UK.

FMAUK has written to all MPs asking them to become an ambassador for Fibromyalgia in an effort to improve understanding of the condition amongst those who make our legislation.

Thank you Tom for taking such an interest in this issue.

Last Friday for new members

We are holding a PopinDropin on the last Friday of the month between 11am and 2pm for people thinking of joining the group.

It is a chance for people to have a chat about the group and what it does to see if taking a more active part is for them.

We meet at SCILL at the moment, but please check the Monthly Programme page for the latest calendar.

SCILL to close its doors

We were surprised and saddened to receive the news that SCILL will be closing at the end of March 2017.

This is the Closure Statement issued by SCILL.

We have been very happy at SCILL and the staff have been hugely helpful to our group as a whole, and to individual members who have needed information.

Obviously this news will affect us significantly and over the coming months we will be looking for alternative accommodation.  We have put together a programme of activities up to the end of March and  introduced the Manor Park Cafe as a meeting point, and depending on how we get on looking elsewhere, this may form part of our programme in the longer term.

We are in touch with our local MP, Tom Brake, who is assisting us in finding alternative venues.

We will keep you up to date on any developments and refresh our Calendar as appropriate.  You can download the programme from our Monthly Programmes page.

Awareness Day

Jackie will be running an information table at Sutton Central Library on 5 October between 2pm and 5pm.

She will have lots of information about Fibro Myalgia and will be hoping to talk to many people about the condition  and how to life with it.

If you are about on Wednesday, why not pop in and just say hello.
