A book club takes place at SCILL every second Wednesday of the month between 5.15pm and 6.30pm.
For the session on 11 February, everyone is to read a book about the sea and come to the evening ready to talk about it.
The event is supported by Monica Fairview, a published author or Regency and Austen Sequels with a sprinkle of chuckles. Her novels include The Other Mr Darcy, The Darcy Cousins and An Improper Suitor.

Feedback from those who took part in the Nordic Walking was very positive. They said it was enjoyable and the exercise was achievable. Manor Park is not huge, so you can get round it.
The session starts and ends with light exercises to get ready for the walking.
“I felt much better afterwards, but I did have a few aches the next day as I was using muscles I have not used for a while!” D.
Join the team for cycling on 18 February at The David Weir Centre in Carshalton. The session involves cycling on various types of bicycle on an outside track. It is easy, especially for people who are new to cycling.
The session costs £3 and, instead of meeting at SCILL, go to the David Weir centre at 11am. There is a cafe at the centre, and everyone has a cup of tea or other refreshments after the session.
So, please note, there will be no session at SCILL that day.
The group are taking part in another Awareness Day – a chance to explain about fibromyalgia, chronic pain, ME, MS and chronic fatigue syndrome.
This is taking place on 11 February at Sutton’s Central Library in St Nicholas Way. Do drop in and have a chat with the team.
There will be other Awareness Event taking place in Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s – dates to be confirmed.
