Jacqui held another awareness day on 18th October 2017, this time in the entrance to Asda in Sutton. There to meet people between 11.30am to 3pm and it was interesting how many times she spoke to someone who had a friend or family member with fibromyalgia. The issues affecting people with fibromyalgia are becoming a little better recognised but there is still a long way to go.
It was heartening that we had so many positive conversations, distributed all our leaflets and got a few more people signed up for information about fibromyalgia and our local club, said Jacqui.
We will be holding our Christmas lunch on 14 December at the Sutton Arms.
Get in touch with Jacqui Shields (details on Contact Us page) to confirm if you will be joining the group as a table has to be booked.
You choose your menu and pay on the day and you can find details of menus on the Sutton Arms website.
We will be at the SCILL building on 1 December 2016, between 3 and 7pm with our festive Table Top sale. We will have lots of item to temp you; and there is likely to be something to fill that Christmas Stocking or provide that special gift.
All funds raised will go towards the club.
We look forward to seeing you …. and please bring a friend!

We are holding a PopinDropin on the last Friday of the month between 11am and 2pm for people thinking of joining the group.
It is a chance for people to have a chat about the group and what it does to see if taking a more active part is for them.
We meet at SCILL at the moment, but please check the Monthly Programme page for the latest calendar.
Jackie will be running an information table at Sutton Central Library on 5 October between 2pm and 5pm.
She will have lots of information about Fibro Myalgia and will be hoping to talk to many people about the condition and how to life with it.
If you are about on Wednesday, why not pop in and just say hello.
We have updated our Programme from October 2016 to the end of March next year.
With SCILL closing at the end of March 2017, we will have to look at where we hold events and activities from April 2017 onwards.
We are in discussion with our local MP, Tom Brake, about venues for organisations such as ours, and we are actively looking for alternative provision. We will update the programme as things unfold.
The raffle was a great success. Thanks to everyone who helped on the day and donated items as prizes.
There was plenty of time at the 4th Birthday Party celebrations to talk to NHS staff. As well as hearing about general issues concerning fibromyalgia and associated conditions, they were able to hear personal stories. Here one of the guests is speaking to the team.
The NHS attended the Birthday celebration event in July and it was an opportunity to find out more about how people experience the NHS. Jackie spoke to them about Essential Tremor.
